Audrey's Baptism: January 15, 2012

We flew to CA last weekend for Audrey's baptism.

It was so special to see Audrey baptized in the same font I was baptized in 29 years ago.
Audrey made the bracelet she's wearing out of beads from a friend and her great-grandmother's old jewelry. The shapes are little white beads and doves which she thought would be perfect since she's be receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Uncle Jeremy was our photographer and made a lovely program as a keepsake for her with a picture of the Jordan River where Christ was baptized.

With Grandpa Jay

Cousins!
Grandma Cheryl

My aunt Joyce, cousin Brittany and two of her cuties

So many dear friends drove long distances to visit us. Our friends the Wignalls from San Diego, my best friend Marissa from high school, my former young women's president, and pictured here: my wonderful childhood piano teacher!

The bapistm was beautiful and Audrey was so excited to take this important step in becoming a disciple of Christ. I"m so grateful to be blessed with such a sweet daughter, loving family, and friends!

Oh, Valerie -- these posts are so much fun to read! Audrey is just beautiful, and it looks like you all had such a meaningful, memorable trip. Jan. 15 was the day I was confirmed (baptized the day before) and it was the date I entered the MTC (several years later, of course).

Congratulations, Audrey!
