Mamma Knows the Highway

Otherwise Titled: "Lost."

Or: "How did civilization survive before GPS?"

Yesterday, as we were excavating the girls' room, I put on one of my favorite country songs, "Mama Knows the Highway." It's an idyllic little song about the life of a female trucker. As the girls were listening to the lyrics, "Mama knows the highway now by heart...." Audrey remarked, "No she doesn't. She's always lost!"

Which must be why I chose to pursue a career in speech-language pathology (which morphed into "homeschooling Mom" ) as opposed to trucking.

Only to discover, that the life of a homeschooling (or sometimes it seems more like "carschooling") Mom requires more trucker-like navigational skills than I'd bargained for!
