Making Jello

Otherwise Titled: "The Trouble with Stereotypes"

We've all been sick around her. On the one hand, we've spent a few days and nights in misery. On the other, we've strenghened our relationships with Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Jerry Lewis, and Nyquil.

Because Jello was one of the few things we could eat, Audrey and I made some the other day.

Audrey: "Mom, this recipe says you can put fruit or vegetables in here. Yuck!"

Me: "Your Grandma makes a yummy jello salad with fruit in it."

Audrey: "But you wouldn't put vegetables, like brocolli in it!"

Me: "Actually, that's the joke about Mormon Women. That they put carrots in their green jello."

Audrey: "I'm a Mormon Woman and I don't put vegetables in my jello."

Me: "Yeah, me neither."
