Folding Egg Experiement

I found a science book in the library called "Naked Eggs and Flying Potatoes"  by Steve Spangler. One of my favorite experiments is called "How to Make a Folding Egg."
Here's how you do it:
 
 With a thumb tack, poke a hole in both ends of the egg (be careful not to make the hole too wide).





Using a tooth pick or thin straw, stir the inside of the egg. Then blow the yolk out of the egg. 

Now put the egg shell in a cup or container and fill it with vinegar. Don't forget to change the vinegar on the second day.

It can take up to ten days for the shell to completely dissolve, but every egg is different.
