One of Audrey's interests is horses. For her recent birthday, her friend Collette gave her a stick horse. Audrey loves to ride him around the house, wearing Daddy's belt on her head, or using it as reins.
She named her horse "Pinto." I asked her where he got his name and she answered that when Pinto was a little baby horse, his daddy gave him a blessing and named him Pinto Bean Burrito.
This cracked us up for two reasons. One, is that our friend Jenn always calls Audrey, "Audrey Bean." Two, is Daddy makes lots of (pinto) bean burritos.
Until recently, Audrey aspired to be a cowgirl and help baby cows find their Mommies. Recently, she said she wants to be a farmer, so she can grow corn. (Probably, so she wouldn't have to rely on me to go to the grocery store to eat corn on the cob).
It will fun to see what her final career choice will be in a few years. But right now, I'm enjoying the magic of her childhood.
