Our annual Christmas recital takes place on the first Monday in December at an assisted living center. This year the girls played a duet "Jolly Old Saint Nicholas and Pachabel's Cannon" arr. by Rebekah Maxxner.

The best part is always visiting with the residents afterwards. We had to keep an eye on Alyssa so she wouldn't get too mauled, but surprisingly she didn't mind.
I remember being nervous around older people at her age, but she is so open and loving. She is always reminding me to pray for friends who are struggling and is anxious to share food and goodies with neighbors. I'm so grateful for her sweet example.
