3 days later….March 20^th. . 9 days after the quake electricity arrived to the little lighthouse and with it came an Joy and great grief.  Yo and Testuro had no idea how far reaching and devastating the disaster was until their TV came on.   A few hours later there cell phone charged they called us.   There was great joy as they shared that some of the relatives were alive and asked us to take their names off the National Missing list. 

The Takami family was getting reunited again.  Out of the rubble some of the family was heading to the little lighthouse.  Tetsuro and Yo were estatic!   They shed tears not for what they had lost but for what they still had.  “ We have each other, we have some of our family! “   Yo also shared that an hour before the Tsunami she had been walking on the beach but something told her to start heading home.  She had made it home  just a short time before the tsunami hit.  It wasn’t until the electricity came on that they saw the how the Tsunami leveled everthing in site.  “This is a very sad thing but from the ashes a grief grow the flowers of joy!” Yo said with solum determination.  Testuro,” took over and talked about logistic for rescuing people and getting supplies into the neighbourhoud and suggestions about how we could help. Then he said, in very sincere and grateful tone.  “I Was able to get pass more rubble today.  Finally made it to the market. There was some food and a few supplies. But what really surprised me was all the people helping including rescue people from overseas!

 Japan is an island but we are not isolated.”
