One of our favorite parts of our visit, was exploring the Waterford River.
It is so beautiful, and peaceful. Graton and I went floating down the river with my aunt Marianne, on a little blow-up raft, and it was simply heavenly.
The amazing thing about this river, is it feels completely private and isolated, but as you can see in this picture, its just adjacent to a big subdivision where my cousin, aunt, and grandparents have a house. It's the best of both worlds. All the comforts of home, and all the splendor of nature. What amazed me, is very few members of the subdivision seemed to hang out in the river, despite having a private entrance to it.
Audrey loved the river. She and Graton went early every morning while the rest of us slept in. She was always very reluctant to leave it.
My idea of paradise: Enjoying the majesty, beauty and solitude of nature surrounded by those I love best.
