We enjoyed a field trip to the African Art Museum to learn about Adinkra. These are symbols that are used in Ghana to convey special meaning and are often used in ceremonial clothing.
Each symbol was individually painted,
And then stamped on cloth
Audrey really liked the "Eagle Claw" which can symbolize law enforcement or readiness to serve.
We have several Ghanian members of our congregation with new members joining every month, so it was fun to learn a bit more about their culture!

What a fun activity! We need to look into more of the museums in our area--I tend to stick to the science places because that is what I know, but we have several art and history museums that probably have a lot to offer.
